Default Answered: posting rules confusing me...

I am confused because sometimes after I post a reply to others I am allowed to modify my post, and other times I am not. I can't figure out why it changes. It even says that I can't create new threads, but then when I came here to post a help, it is now letting me.

I have attached a picture of what I am talking about. I didn't bother taking a picture of posts where I can't edit my post- the modify button just disappears.

Can anyone explain this?

What section were you in? Some sections have special rules. For example, only staff members can post new threads and edit posts in the "WI News and Announcements" section.

That must be it! I was in WI News and Announcements. I guess you can't edit your posts there either.

Thank you, because this has happened off and on, but I never figured out what was causing it, and it was driving me a bit crazy. I was afraid I was doing something wrong, but didn't know what it was.
