regarding your laptop, i was at a hotel recently and couldnt get WW to work until i called them up and they had to adjust a setting with my internet connection. you might try calling yours and seeing if they can help you with that. even though its supposed to be "the fastest", there are things that can interfere and make it not as fast as they claim. is your laptop fast/new? if so....
you could also try bringing your laptop to a Wi-Fi place (or a friend who has fast internet) and see if you have more success there. that would confirm (or deny) if it was your internet connection. if it wont work there, i would try using a friend's computer and seeing if you can get in that way.
after doing all those steps, you'll know for sure if its your computer, your connection or if your account really is stuck.
