Have you tried cleaning the cache on your computer? There will be a place where you can delete browing history and temporary internet files on your internet access provider. On Internet Explorer, its on the grey tool bar header on the botton RH side of that--says "Tools". You click on that, and the bottom option on the list is "Internet Options". Two more clicks to go...You click on "delete browing history" and then "delete Temporary Internet Files" and that does it.
You might also try rebooting your computer. That might help delete some of the files that may be slowing it down.
You have to do this fairly often, as WW and WI are massive big sites that create a lot of this stuff that is cached (to make it operate better when you are on). But, ultimately, it slows it down.
Maybe someone else with other browsers can tell you where to find the cache cleaning tools on theirs. Hope this helps!
Clearing the cache won't assist with "Please Wait" messages in WW. Please wait usually occurs when you have temporarily lost connection to the WW servers and it is attempting to reconnect.
The problem could be either at your end with your internet connection, or with the route your internet connection takes out to the WW servers.
Do you just have one computer at home? If not, do you have a hub or a router that you use to connect more than one computer? Is it a wireless connection you use? Sometimes wireless connections can be more unstable than a wired connection.
Thanks katrinasmom, dotdotduck and Kelly Kam. Cleared the cache several times. Sometimes I use IE and sometimes Mozilla firefox. Sometime one works better than the other. Not today. I haven't tried the reboot, but I will. We have wireless, but this Please Wait is really unusual. Thanks for all the help.
i am so very bugged too! please wait is like my worst enemy. i can not get on, and when i did, i was about to make a good trade wheni got a please wait! I AM VERY MAD! now i can not get in, i suggest keep trying or just wait for a while til it is back up. i am going to play my Trumpet, donald, to make the wait easier. Ug. i hate to wait. But i do love my DONALD! Do something fun while you wait.
