Don't worry to much, as it may just be a glitch or you may have even misplaced the item.
If you are sure that you have checked all the storage in the house, and all the pets to see if they
were wearing the dress as well as logged back out and in again, the next thing you should try and do is clear your cache. If you don't know how to do that, click HERE for simple step by step instructions. After you have done that, try logging back in again and checking if the dress has appeared.
