I have a ton of mail stored in my inbox/mail box. I have created a folder, but as many times I've tried to put that stuff into the folder it won't go in!!!!!! How do you get sent items and received mail into a folder and how do you then find it again???? If you don't know it would at least be nice if you give me your best guess.
Okay, first, you can not move your sent mail. If you have received mail you want to move...
first, find the messages you want to put in the folder. Click the little checkbox that is on the right of each message that you want to move. Then, scroll down, to where it says "move to folder" and then click "go." Use the drop down menu to select the folder, and then click "move items"
To access them again, go to your inbox, and then use the drop down menu, and select the folder you would like to view.
OK, go to your inbox. Click on some items you want to move to your folder. Then go down to the bottom of the page. You'll find a box with options: Move to folder; delete, and some others. Select move to folder and then hit "Go". You are now half way done.
Now, go back up to the top and you'll have some more choices. It will ask you to select folder. You put your folder in the box, then hit the bar that says, "move items". That should do it. I suspect you haven't been doing this second step. It's a little confusing, as one is at the bottom of the page and the other back up at the top.
Before you can file messages in a folder, you need to create one. When you're looking at your private messages, there will be a menu to the left of your screen that says 'control panel' and one just underneath it that says 'private messages' (you may have to click it to get it to expand). The very last item in that menu is 'edit folders'. Click on that and it will take you to a screen where you can create folders with whatever name you want. Once you've done that, you'll be able to move them from the main PM screen - the posts above me can help you with that.
