So sorry to hear about your pet with the missing code. Unfortunatly it seem to happen a lot in my area where the pets will have missing codes and also have had to learn to check before purchasing. Its too bad people would do that to a kids toy and not care about dissapointing them. Thanks for the nice reminder to check those tags and I hope Walgreens makes it right for you.
Go to webkinz website and print out the page that says it is the store's responsblity that each webkinz has a code. Then highlight it. Bring it to walgreens with the webkinz in the bag. Then show them that you are dissapointed that didn't have proper care with their webkinz for sale and show then you are mad. Hopfully they will take it back. I am so sorry that happened.
I know where I live, all the places that sell webkinz and/or their other items, they have signs posted everywhere that they wont take returned or exchange webkinz things, regardless of what the reason is. So I have learned to check tags before I leave store, but I know I have pick up pets with no tags and noticed. Sad part is, the tags are not there from people steeling them.
I am so sorry this happened to you. Most stores post that they won't accept returns on Webkinz because some people might use the code and then return the item. Last time I was in Walgreen's they had only a couple of Webkinz and I saw one little tiger there with no tags at all on it.
Once I bought a bottle of body spray and got home and found someone had managed to open the package and take the code out. After that I have been very careful to make sure that tags are on things.
Here. May I make a suggestion?
I'm not mad or nothing, but my brothers chickadee code didn't work, so we called GANZ. And they gave him a new one. So that's my suggestion. Go to parents area on webkinz world, then do code not working or something. They will give you their number, then tell them that your code ain't working.
I suggest you do it.
What I did was... I went to halmark and bought my gray cat... I went back and gave it back, and got a new one WITH a tag... so if that happend to you I would take it back as soon as you can.... hope it helps!
