Default Unanswered: Paint.NET help please..... :)

Hi guys! I just downloaded Paint.NET....and have no idea how to use it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really want to make some cool signatures, but I do not know how to work my way along that thing. So if you could post links to some guides on here, or just tel me which tools do what, that would be grea.t
WHAT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IS: how can I add outlines to my text like this?

It's a pig, and painful. Very painful.

I dunno how to use it, but try photoscape. You can google it. It's alot easier.

Also, be aware you can't just learn this sort of thing in a day. Most of us here have taught our selves.

I would go to their forum:

Paint.NET • Index page

That way you can ask questions there and also browse what answers they already have answered.
Anyway, try going to the HELP on the program itself and look up "outline". That's pretty much what you are trying to do. That may help you as well.

Good luck and we look forward to your wonderful creations!

I use the 'outline object' plugin.
boltbait - BoltBait's Pages - Outline Object
Simply download and put it in the plugin folder, restart Paint.NET. It takes just about 3 seconds and is easy to use.

okay, i am like, a pro at paint.NET. i am not really sure how to do the outline without doing it free-hand, because paint.NET is not really professional, but to make a really cool sig like you were saying- to make a text siggie click the box in the top left corner, highlight the whole siggie, and click the erase button. erase the WHOLE thing, and it will show up as gray and white boxes, but that is fine. that means it is transparent, or "see through" here. then, just, design it. oh, and when you click "new" then for avatar, do 100 by 100 pixels. for signatures, do 450 by 150 pixels. don't really mess with the stuff underneath. if you have any more specific questions, feel free to PM me! i can get you pics, also. (:
