Update - Monday, October 27th

Well, news, but not good news for me. After four unanswered emails and three phone calls I FINALLY spoke to someone. According to the supervisor of the eStore I have to re-purchase my Purple Monster. The Purple Monster will be available on Wednesday and Friday of this week. My credit card was "authorized" and not charged. If you view your order status and it says "pending" this means you have to re-order your eShop item. According to the supervisor the 'glitch' happened because too many people at one time were ordering. She could not give me my monster and assured me that no one has received their monster without paying and I had no other recourse but to wait. I asked with all the 'glitches' and inconsistancy in customer service, why would I continue to buy Webkinz. All she could do is appologize. As an additional note she said I could have the same problem again. but they were working on it. Now what do I do?
I guess it really depends on how badly you'd like the monster. If you really want him or her, then I would re-order. If not, then I guess I would just not worry about it. I can't decide if I'm going to buy one either. Still thinking.......

sure am glad that i did not find this thread on saturday. i purchased it with no problems. had i read the thread, i would not have bought. glad that its coming back on wednesday. it will give everybody a 2nd chance. i'd suggest buying it during the day and if it doesnt work out, keep callling WW till you reach someone who will help you to make sure you get one and not dozens (if it takes that many attempts).

The Monster will be in the Estore at midnight - so if you get up early (or stay up late) you may find it easier to get it without glitches. I generally buy my Estore items at night or early in the morning and never had a problem - and heck what better time to get a monster than at midnight!

Well, after being really dissapointed for a few days I descided to try it again. I am happy to report that I have added the Purple Monster 'Sweetums' to our Webkinz family. Thanks for all the support and please contact customer service if you have any issues. They will help, although it might not be the answer you like, but at least it is an answer.
