Unanswered: o.O Webkinz, going against their word!?!?!
I was on vacation and I "Rocked the Boat." In the past I'd always gotten some money, and I've HEARD of ghosts, but I thought nothing happened when one went on the screen. I was wrong. You lose ALL of your pet's happiness when a ghost comes up. Ganz states in the picture below that they DO NOT gamble, okay, they said kinzcash in the pic, but I'd rather lose ALL my money then all my pet's happiness. Just like a loving parent, they would give up their house just so you could smile some more. Now, I spent all my money on sending my pets on vacation, I don't have enough to send Shimmer (The Victim) on a second vacation. Here's the screen shot, I highlitghted the important stuff.
What ou are proposing is almost gambling. Ganz has that policy because of the little kids that are on that site. Also think about it. If they took away all of your kinzcash, what would happen to the people with millions of KC?? They would lose all of it!
Personally I would rather lose my pet's health because it is easily restored.
That's not really a wager because as E-Angel suggests, the pet's happiness can be easily raised by playing a game or two, placing it in front of a TV that's on, or feeding it food that it likes. On the other hand, the primary way you get Kinzcash is by purchasing more webkinz. A loss of Kinzcash in the thousands would definitely cause me to be angry because my Kinzcash should only decrease when I spend it, whereas pet happiness goes down naturally while you're logged in and doing nothing.
Since it sounds like you have more than one pet, why don't you put the unhappy pet to bed and play with another pet until you have the time to work on the happiness of the one that lost points?
I disagree that Ganz is "going against their word" on the gambling issue.
Your pet got "scared" by a "ghost" and lost it's happiness. No big deal! Just play some games, take some classes at the Kinzville Academy, etc, and your pet will be back to full happiness in no time.
I'm more upset that they clearly state this:
Remember that we would never allow anything
to hurt your Webkinz pets.
And yet the ghost can take a pet's happiness down to zero. I'm glad my kids have never gotten the ghost when they play rock the boat; I cringe a little when they take their pets on vacation because I have a feeling it's going to happen one of these times.
I halfway agree with you. They aren't so much going against their policy...But I do hate it when webkinz are unhappy. Also, maybe they could make something called "Island points" and you could lose them instead. But that's just me.
