Hi, the same thing happened to my daughter. So far Ganz has not responded. They take months to respond, and even then it is usually no help. Sorry this happened to him. I hope he has a happy day anyway!!!
As far as getting the exclusive replaced, I don't think it will happen. They aren't replacing missing exclusives anymore, just giving 1000 or 2000 KC (I've read of either amount being given). This really stinks if it's someone like one of my kids, they both have well over 110,000 KC and don't need anymore, they (and I !) want the exclusive item.
Regardless, call them tomorrow, 1 800 724 5902, press zero, ask the operator for someone to help with your Webkinz account, you may get a person, or may get a voicemail.
Also, 1 866 932 5469 , I think that one goes straight to a voicemail.
If this is a first pet for your son, on my account for my first pet and for my BFF's first it gave no exclusive item, just the Pet's Item, the pet's food, and a "Welcome To Webkinz!" Balloon. I think that may be the problem. If it is his second or more then it probably needs to be reported to Ganz.
