Question Unanswered: New laptop viewing webkinz help

I just got a new laptop today as a late christmas present. Its a regular laptop not a mini notebook or anything. The only problem I am having is that when I load webkinz everything looks really small. There is just green space all around the webkinz page and its so small its hard to see. Every other web page including this one is normal size. Is there anything I can do about that? I feel like I need a magnifyng glass lol. Thanks for any tips.

How frustrating!

Have you tried to adjust the screen resolution? I saw a posting by Moderator Dixiecup that explained how to do that. I think this will link to that thread: http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...screen-587289/

Have you tried to use a different browser--like Firefox or Google Chrome?

Perhaps loading the latest Adobe Flash player may help. That has helped me through a couple of quirky displays.

I hope you get it working!

I haven't dowloaded a different browser yet. I wonder if one of them works better on laptops than the other? I think I have the most up to date flash player in this already. I'm not sure how to check but it came with windows 7 and new fearures. I did go into some thing that let me make text and other images larger. Everything else is normal, even the webkinz log in page is normal size. Its just webkinz thats super tiny. Its only using the very middle of the screen with like a green frame all around.

I was having the same problem with my new laptop. Not sure if it is related to Windows 7, but more the size of my screen (which is wider but shorter).

I had to set my task bar to auto hide in order to see the dock on my WW screen.

I had to do that also so I could see my dock too. I just don't get why ww is so tiny when all other pages are normal sized.

I don't have a zoom in thing on my ww page. Or view either.

Me ethier. Luckily you can keep zooming in.
Do you have Mozilla Firefox 3 or higher? If you don't I really suggest it. It gives you a bar so you can scroll down and everything. It also makes things bigger. The Zoom suggestion I made works really well. You can also go to View-toolbar and hide some toolbars. It gives you more room.

Ok I'll download that and try the zoom feature. I tried that other site to log onto webkinz and that was cool cause is gave a scroll bar but my problem isn't to big. Everything fits on my screen fine because it's so tiny it's only taking up about half my computer screen. Thanks for the firefox tip. I'll cross my fingers and hope that maks it big enough to see lol

Your problem is that your screen resolution is much bigger than the webkinz window, which is designed for 1024 by 768 screens. The webkinz window is still the same number of pixels you are used to, they just take up less of the screen. If the zoom doesn't work, you can always change your screen resolution. One benefit of your current situation is that when the click-to-win festivals come along you will be able to have multiple accounts open and see large portions of each one.

Ok I just tried changing the screen resolution to the 1024 x 768 and it made my screen smaller. I went to webkinz and the whole right side of the screen was cut out. I couldn't see anything on the right side including things to do. I also tried to download firefox and when I used that to bring up ww it says I must have adobe flash player to get into webkinz. This pc is one day old it has to have that in it already. Besides I can get into it on internet explorer with no problems. I am so lost and confused. Anyone have anymore ideas?

I've tried everything I can think of and still no luck. If no one here can help me I think I might try to call dell on monday and see if they can help. I guess they know about that stuff...
