I just bought and adopted a lil kinz yorkie at walgreens and it didn't come with a red tag. Its okay, but I really wanted the red tag so I can play the games. I noticed many of the webkinz didn't have the tags. Should I ask Ganz about it? Thanks everyone
Ganz wouldn't be able to help. It is the responsibility of the Walgreens. You should notify the store manager and let them know that the tags are being stolen. Maybe they would put the plushies in a more secure location so someone else doesnt miss out like you did. I'm sorry that happened to you. I always check my plushies for their tags before I purchase them for that reason.
Hi there.... the problem you are experiencing is not Ganz problem but Walgreens and the theft that has occured. The best way around this issue is not to buy one that does not have a tag or try another walgreens. Again this is not Ganz fault but the theifs that live in the neighborhood
I have six or seven walgreens I can go to. In every one of them there has been more than one pet missing either or both tags. I usually grab them and take them up to the counter with me and explain that without the code the pet is useless. I do explain more detail but for those pets with no codes at all they are useless. At least unless you're after the body. Either way they usually get a manager involved.
So far I have seen two of the stores move their stash up front or in a more visible location to the registers so it's not so easy to grab and go.
Just take up one or two that have no tags and point it out to the manager. You may even want to take yours back with you and tell them that you bought one without the tag. Don't know if they will do anything but at least you could point it out that someone may unknowingly purchase one that that doesn't have tags when that's the whole reason they go after these particular pets.
