The birthday on my original account is not correct because when I was trying to set it up I was having trouble and asked a trusted friend to do it. She knew my birthday but not the year, so she made me younger. Fortunately she told me which year she used. I just have to remember to use a different year when I fill out the form for that account. But I have always just picked any pet code that was on it and didn't have a problem with it.
I am lucky I did know the year because I did not get a birthday wish token when I should have. I had to call Ganz to get that, and my account anniversary one, too.
I had a similar thing happen because I was concerned about identity theft and didn't want my daughters' real information entered (no idea that I would need this information later for stuck items ...) I called and spoke with a representative and they were able after some talking and me giving them every other type of information to tell me what the girls had entered when they first joined. I only need a code from any pet, not the first one ... so I'm not sure why yours didn't work yet. But talking to someone is the key. Good luck!
I have two cash cow trophies stuck in my room that have been really bothering me (I tried Webberlily's excellent How To Unstick Things instructions, but as the trophies are stuck to the floor, it didn't work.) So today I finally got around to attempting to contact Ganz. The direct email no longer works and I was sent back to the automated customer service system they have. This *should* work just fine -- except I don't have the correct DOB to enter and they won't take the help message without one.
Sad to say, when I signed up for my Webkinz account a couple of years ago, I felt like a total geek admitting I was an adult, so I made up a birth date. Well, I never wrote it down (Yes, I'm an *****! ) and now find that in order to ask Ganz ANYTHING via their customer service section, I need that info.
Is there any way I can locate the DOB I gave within the Webkinz system? Or am I stuck? I'll call if I have to, but that's always an ordeal.
If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated! TIA!
Just to give credit where credit is due: I may have given you the link to it, but that wonderful How-To-Unstick Guide was written by Momwhoplays and Dixiecup!
Phone Ganz on Monday, just press 0 till you get a live person, tell them you are having a problem with your account, and they will probably send you to a Customer Service Rep's voice mail. Leave a message and they call you back within a couple days. My experience has always been positive, they are nice and helpful once you succeed in reaching them.
THANK YOU! ConchyJane, I went back through my Kinzpost and did find the month and day (I used the year of my wedding, so I did remember that), so my DOB is now correct. I would have never thought of looking at the Birthday wish token -- a million thanks!
And Monalisa, LOL re: Elvis' birthday -- I should have used that!
Now, however, I have a new issue -- I don't have the code from my first pet! Argh! I've tried plugging in the codes from all my other pets, but I'm still getting an error message, so I have to guess that's the problem (more banging of head, tearing of hair, and general angst over this ridiculous, self-inflicted problem!!!). I will just call Ganz on Monday. It's just too frustrating to ruin a good Friday evening over!
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN! I do so appreciate all the super-quick responses from everyone! You guys are the best.
Hi Honeybear, Just a couple of days ago I contacted Webkinz via the ebkinz home page. I went to Customer Support and I filled out the form under "I have something stuck". I had all the info but just had one of the Pet codes for the Account. I did NOT use my first pet code. I then recieved an e-mail (see below) I Have an Item Stuck in the Room

This morning I went on webkinz and there in my dock was my stuck items. I can't get to "Customer Support" right now so it might be affected by the Maintainence. If it asks for you first name(I can't remember) and you used another name like my daughter and I did on our European Account you can check that on your My Pets Tab- PM me if you need more info. I can't get on to webkinz so I can't clearly describe what you need to do.I had to wait about a day but I got them back. I hope this helped and good luck.
