Default Unanswered: Looking for a good, free paint program

The title says it all. I'm looking for asafe, free paint program. It needs to support ALL types of image files, and it needs to be FREE.
Any help is accepted.

Have you checked out Gimp?
Gimp is a free program that is often referred to as the "free photoshop of the internet."
A lot of members of WI and people online use gimp as an alternative to the expensive photoshop, and as something more indepth then paint.
It does a lot of awesome things. I even use it for all my digital design.
The download is free and I've never had any issues using it/running it/getting viruses.
And I'm pleased at EVERYTHING it offers.
You should check it out:
GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program
I hope this helps!

Paint.net is wonderful. It's the only graphics program I use and it makes realy high quality graphics. It's perfectly safe and free, and I had no trouble with it whatsoever.
The downside is you'll need to download (free and safe) plug-ins to enhance your experience.
Paint.NET - Download
(There's an AD on it that's big and says 100% download free, or somethnig like that. Don't click on it, since that's not the downlaod link for paint.net.)

This is an example of something I've made:
Click the image to open in full size.

I suggest Pixia.
It is good for photo editing.
Made for anime, and manga artists.

Pros

Clear and bold style
Main palettes stack in a single strip

Cons

Overall layout lacking coherency
No keyboard shortcuts for main tools

Overall i think it is a decent one for being free

Hope this helped!

If your looking for a free painting program I would try Gimp, Paint.net, or Pixlr.

Here's a link to pixlr:
