Lines?

Hiya!(:
i figured how to make Confession avatars a few days ago, but i sill can't figure out how to do one thing
the little lines that go across the image, like in the one below

how do i do that??
and i do have the latest version of GIMP

Congrats on 2000 posts!

To make lines, go to filters > distorts > video > and then click 3x3 and then hit Ok

Yes, on GIMP all you have to do is Fliters --> Distorts --> Video --> 3x3

Yes, this is on gimp. If you can't find them, filters is on the top bar, distorts is near the top of the menu that drops down once you click filters, video is close to the bottom of the menu that comes when you click distorts, and then a window pops up with lots of different options, There is Large 3x3 and 3x3, you want to click the normal 3x3.
