Well I think this has happened ot me before..
1. Log in and out reloading things might help!
2. Clear your cache! A needed file could be blocked!
3. If #'s 1 and 2 don't work contact ganz!

Lmk if any of these work and lmk if you get your items to be visible!

There is definitely no limit as to the number of rare items to put in a room. I've got several rooms done in the various themes - egyptian, science lab, ancient civilization, etc. and have had no problems. The rooms actually look pretty cool when you are finished.
I did have the same problem yesterday and got frustrated as well. I was putting together a few rooms with the Christmas theme and tried moving the side table only to see a tree or candle sitting on it not moved. When I put that table into another room I found that it was occupied and unable to place anything on it. I purchased a new table and it was fine. As a result of the problem I put the tables back into the room since it looked funny with a candle and tree in the air. I went back into the rooms today and everything is fine.

It happens to me occasionally too. It scared me the first time, but if you log off, then on again, they've always come back. Just make sure you don't put other things in the room until you've got everything else back.
