Default Answered: I was wondering...

When Ganz has to retire a Webkinz because of more coming soon, why do they have to retire the newer ones? Like in December 2008, they had the Brown Cow. But before they even released it, it was retired. Why can't they retire like the older ones?

To create supply and demand. Almost everyone has the older ones. If they retire those, no one will go out and buy up impulsively...

On the other hand, if you hear that a Plushie will be hard to find, you will buy it immediately, as soon as you lay your hands on it.

Pure and simple, it is a marketing technique to get more money.

Unfortunately, it is their choice to retire whatever pet they want. Even if that pet was just released, it is their decision.

It doesn't make sense. Like why would they release something and retire it before it wasn't released. If it's gonna get retired before they release it, why would they release it at all?

I think also help the desition how many they have sold.

there is no need to retired a item than is sellig many, becasue that makes money

if a new design in the initial release that did not sell as many as they like, maybe that makes them to retire them, so insted of get oversock of them , they became littlemore polpular, so the distribuitors, bought the inventory. so they could make a little profit instead of having to keep and loos money
