At that time we instituted the following policy:
Over the past several months we have noticed that there has been a lot of discussion on the site regarding trades that have already taken place in the Webkinz World Trade Rooms. While most of the talk has been about fair trades, some of it has been about unfair trades, with a handful of members bragging about how they were able to take advantage of other traders. While we would like to think that our members will aways be fair in their negotiations off-site, we must acknowledge that this is not always the case.
That being said, we find it necessary to make an important addition to the policy above:
It is our greatest hope that everyone will understand our need to make this policy.
I do not think you have any reason to feel bad. As posted earlier, you did not intentionally mislead somebody by misrepresenting your items.
I trade things all the time where I am at the losing end (value wise). It may be because I really wanted their items or perhaps I just really enjoyed the other trader and wanted them to have something special.
It is very kind of you to try to rectify the situation. So do NOT feet bad, feel good - about yourself.
What you do have to keep in mind is that if both people were happy with the trade at the time, that makes it fair no matter what was being traded. As long as no one intentionally tries to misrepresent their items, you shouldn't feel bad about it. WW does not follow the WIGEV, but it is nice for members here to be as fair as possible when trying to trade for items in the WW Trading Room to help the people there, that don't have the benefit of our knowledge
I agree with kayembee - maybe that's what the other person wanted otherwise he/she would have not traded for it.
At least you are being honest I am sure if you knew the value of the item at the time of the trade you would of made it as fair as possible... If the other trader was happy then you have nothing to worry about.. Have fun with your item.... It's an honest mistake if you want to call it that because if the trader was not happy they would have left...
If you are added to the other person's Friend List, you could always find them and say you are sorry, then you guys could trade again and give each other the items back. It was not your fault- you just did not know it was a really rare item. Good luck!
You are so kind to want to find them and make it right, but maybe they were happy with it !!!! Maybe one day you will see them in there again since you only know there name. You are very kind !!! Enjoy your new item maybe they are enjoying theres too !!!!
