If you want to trade on WI, you would have to agree to the Gift Exchange. Also known "GE" for short. Here is the link for it. http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...mation-219641/ It is in the Rules and Suggestions forum. The rules on it say what to do. You have to read and agree to all the rules, you have to be a member of WI for more then 2 weeks, have to have more then 50 non-fluff (kind) posts, and agree to work with your GC (Gift Coach). When you post on the GE scetion, you may have to wait. If the mods think your ready, they will give you a PM, saying that you have got in. Your gift coach PM you and will give you tests, and if she likes what you did, you get to make your own Gift Exchange thread! You will have use kinz post on WW to trade with members. There isn't a trading room on WI.
That is pretty much to it. If you have any questions, PM any gift coach and they are sure to help you.
There's a whole separate section of WI devoted to trading that you may only access once you are Trainee... and then another section for "Gifted" (gifted people can't trade with trainees and vice versa... not that any of us would swindle a trainee but it's a place to learn the ropes).
You basically discuss on WI what you want to trade, make an agreement and then you add each other as friends on WW and kinzpost the items. Everything is documented in a post/thread so problems are fixed (which I think are rare) and the trades are safe and fair. It's a great way to trade and an easy way of getting what you want because you can peruse people's trading threads (each person has one they must maintain of their haves and wants)... think of it as a WI swap meet!
Mind you, you can not discuss trading outside the official trading section. It's a monitored area (more rules than here) so no one is abusing another trader. Allowing WI as platform for general trading could get out of hand and the admins won't be able to help. It's always best to follow the right channels and it will pay off.
Everyone above has given you some really good links and information. If you are really new, it's hard to conceive. Basically, once you are accepted into the training gift exchange, another section of WI will be visible to you. Only the Gift Trainees, Gift Coaches, and Moderators and Administrators can see this section. It has threads of all the gift trainees. They keep a list of their wants and haves to trade on post one of that thread, which they update often. They list "in-lines", people who are waiting to trade on an item. So you can find the items you want, and know if there is a person already trading on it or not, and know if the person is interested in what you have to trade for it. You can trust everyone to be fair with you, cuz everyone LOVES trading here and doesn't want to lose their trading privleges. They will lose those privleges if they don't trade fairly or violate the trading protocols. Only a limited number of low to medium-priced items can be traded in the Training Gift Exchange. Once you have proven yourself a valued trader who knows and observes the protocols, you will graduate to the Gift Exchange, or Big GE. There you will find all WW items traded and 27 different folders of trading threads. So you can find just about any WW item for which you are looking. It's awesome.
The actual trades occur in WW. You agree to the trade by posts here in WI, then send Friends Requests on the phones in WW. Then you send the gifts through WW. Then you leave "feedback" here, on what you traded, and that updates the "Giftz" counts you see on people's avatar boxes.
