I had it happen yesterday when I was just lurking and not logged in. I went to look at the last post of the PJ Tracking thread and I got this warning from my Anti-Virus that I had to move a Trojan Horse to my Chest. Then it wanted to do a scan using 'Anti-vir' So I had to get into my task manager and abort the connection right away.
This morning at 8:25 Eastern time, I was logged offline from WI, and my own Norton antivirus gave me the message that it had blocked a virus from mexicomaxtravel .com
This one was not a pop-up trying to lead me to another site.
Our virus protection program expired recently and we decided to go with a different one (a free one). Both days on the weekend the only site I logged into was this one and both days I had major warnings.
Poor hubbie had to fix it both days LOL!!
I think we may be switching Virus protection again soon.
If you have WW up, you don't get it on WI.
What i got was a bunch of trogans . . i bet some of you got something different like a worm virus.
It only happens every few days or so, Watch for them every day and mark them on your calender.
That's all. i think i should get some more facts about it.
I've had it happen intermittently for the past few weeks. It only happens to me when I have WI open on my computer. I've gotten into the habit of closing the WI window whenever I am not actively reading the forums instead of leaving it open in the background.
The two times I had it happen while here was when I was using Internet Explorer, so I don't come as often and when I do, I use a different browser, no IE.
The tech who fixed my computer said it was a strong virus and that it could sit dormant for up to a couple of weeks before it rears its ugly head.
It's happened to me before also. It actually happens a lot here. We have two Anti-Virus systems, Spyhunter 3 (Paid) and AVG (free). Both seem to work well, but latley I have had a lot of Virus warnings pop up while I'm on Webkinz Insider. I'm glad that I'm not the only one with this problem. I think that this should be reported to Justin...
