Okay, so I was reading over the a/s shop rules again. I had noticed one was
"8 ) In order to post a shop, members must meet the following requirements:
Shop owners must have 50 non-fluff posts and be in good standing on WI."
And I have a sucsessful shop and it has been open for a while. But, isn't that one of the main things you must have to get in the gift exchange? I have applied twice to get in the GE and I haven't been excepted. So mods, GIft Gurus, and Gift Coaches, I would been very greatfull if you answered my question.
The requirements are a little more strict for the GE. Although you need at least 50 non-fluff for both the definition of fluff posts is more strictly monitored when you apply for the GE than when you apply for an A/S shop. There are also a bunch of other requirements.
Another major area that reduces the amount of GTs that are trained at once is that only so many GTs can be in the GTS at one point. Every GC can only handle a certain amount of GTs at one time and the actually GTS program can only handle a certain amount of members at once. You often have to wait for an opening to be made available. Those available positions are probably given to the members that most easily meet the requirements first.
I'm not any of those [Imma GT]. But.. I waited awhile and I finally made it. It might be frustrating but think of it this way;; theres a LOT of people out there trying to become GTs. Now being in the GE I understand how many new people come in and how many GCs are there. GCs can only teach an 'x' amount of students at a time.
So to get back to my point I hope you dont give up and keep trying. You'll make it someday;; for sure and you'll be happy that you kept trying. Just keep going with the rules [and dont post your agreement more than once every 2 weeks ]
Hello, That's great that you are eager to become a GT! I have several Friends that have over a 1000 posts who have not been accepted into the GT. While 50 non fluff posts is a requirement, it doesn't automatically mean you will be accepted. Keep posting and keep being helpful in other parts of the forum. Be patient and I am sure you will get there
Getting in the GE is a bit more challenging - for a number of reasons - getting trained to trade on WI means that you will be assigned a gift coach - a person who will spend a considerable amount of time working with you on how to set up a GE, how to use the WIGEV and how to trade.
That 50 non fluff post requirement is just the start. Take a look at the number of posts many of the other applicants have and you will see why you may need to wait a bit.
One of the key items the GCs are looking for is patience - learning to trade on WI can take weeks or sometimes months - and it's tough to do if you are in a hurry.
I know this can be tough if you really love trading - but becoming gifted is definately worth the wait.
As Jarrah said, becoming gifted IS worth all of the wait. There are other things that the staff look for when considering someone to be a GT other than the fluff-post limit. You have to show that you're patient and helpful. You also have to contribute a little to the regular WI forums. Try making a helpful thread, or answer lots of questions in the somebody help! section. I myself had to apply 3-4 times before I was accepted, but the important thing to do when you're rejected is to show that you don't lose hope, and continue being an active, helpful member of the forum. So if you get rejected, don't give up! Just keep those good posts coming, and you'll be accepted in no time! Good luck!
I also tryed applying a few times, i know it's frusterating but eventually you'll get there! there are a lot of people who want to be GTs, because you have all the requirments, still they need to choose the people with the best posts, and the best requirments, cause 100s of people apply per month and they can't accept them all
