Ok, I'm in the creative writing section ALOT. And I like to rate others stories to make them feel good about themselves. We'll I discoved a story I thought should be rated five stars. But when I put in five stars, when it was already four stars, so when I added my five stars it gave another vote tot he four stars. Shouldn't it say I put my vote into the five, not four like it did? Oh I'm SO confused! Someone help!
Even though you voted for five stars, most people voted four stars. For example, if there were 2 people who voted for three stars, 13 people who voted for four stars and 1 person (you) voted five stars the average is 4. They show four because that is the average. If more people were to vote for 5 stars then the average would become five. But because not many people voted five stars, the average is four stars, so it shows four stars.
Even when you vote it 5 stars and the average votes are 4, It will show up as four stars because the system calculates all the votes plus yours and does the "mean" (its a math thing xD) and in your situation it was still 4 stars.
