we all know there are contests that involve taking pictures of pets or rooms.
but one question.
HOW DO YOU DO THAT???
there IS a thread posting how to, but a lot of info makes my brain hurt! can anyone tell me an easier explanation on how to do that? (with a laptop)
Press FN and there should be a button with the letters PRTSC(or something similar to that) that button is usually around the delete button. After that you paste that picture into paint and you can save it from there.
i am using win7 in the programs list in Accessories there is a program called snipit. this will do a screen capture of any part of your screen you want to capture and save to your hard drive. i usually use a progam that i installed called MW SNAP (free on the web) that was recommended here and i like a lot. you can capture, save or print out immediately.
It will save on your hard drive as a jpg or jpeg file which is what the contests in WKN uses. good luck
i think it is just easier to have a small, simple program on your computer where you can snap a pic and print or save with just one or two mouse clicks. LOL I looked at that guide and started to read it and gave up too many steps to go thru. MWSNAP is so easy. i use that to get pic and then open with Irfanview to resize or re-do colors or add text, etc..
if you have Vista, there is a program called Sniping Tool. You can take a picture of a selected portion of your screen. it also includes pens and highlighters you can use if you want to highlight something or point somethig out. it leaves a red outline of the box, but it can easily be edited into another color through Paint.
