Default Answered: How do you delete a whole post?

I was looking through some of the threads I'd posted on to see if there were any new posts. Anyway, I noticed on one that an entire post from someone was gone totally, and the posts had been renumbered. The only evidence left of the post ever having been there is that I'd quoted the post in mine, but the original post is completely gone! How did this happen? Can the original poster delete a post, or was it done by a moderator? Anyone have any ideas?

Someone flagged it for a mod to delete. Could have been the person who posted it because he/she didn't like what they had said, or it may have been reported by someone else. Or a mod may have happened by and deleted it.

For whatever reason it was deleted, you might want to delete the quote part in your post.

Anytime you have a question about a Thread or a Post you can always ask a Mod. They can help you. They will tell you if it was moved, deleted, closed or whatever.

If you ever need to talk to a Mod....just click the "Red Flag" in the left Corner and write a message in the box. IT will go straight to them. and They listen and respond to everyone here.

That post was probably flagged and a mod deleted it. Or sometimes, if this was a trade thread or a graphic shop, the owner may have requested for it to be deleted so they can use 2 posts to manage their thread (if they posted after that post). There is no way a member could delete a post. That power is only for Mods and Admins.

The only way to delete a post is to flag it,
& a Mod or Admin will delete it for you.

Regular members can't delete their own posts.
Good question, hope I helped. (:
