"On Mac OS X, a user can take a screenshot of an entire screen by pressing Command-Shift-3, or of a chosen area of the screen by Command-Shift-4. A shell utility called "screencapture" (located in /usr/sbin/screencapture) can be used from the Terminal application or in shell scripts to capture screenshots and save them to files. Various options are available to choose the file format of the screenshot, how the screenshot is captured, if sounds are played, etc. This utility might only be available when the Mac OS X developer tools are installed. A user cannot capture the screen while DVD Player is running."

I have one too! This helped!
Here is the link to it

I have a Mac and this is how I do it. Hold Shift, then hold Control, and then 4. (: Afterwards, you can click on the picture which will be on your desktop, and then you can add shapes, and text too. (:

You don't need to copy it down to your computer, blackghost. It will automatically go to your Desktop (I'm pretty sure...) and is labeled Image _. The blank is a number of the picture.

My favorite way of taking a picture of my screen is to use Grab -- it can take a picture of a selection of a screen or the entire window. To find the application, go to the upper righthand corner of your screen, you will see a magnifying glass. Click on that and type in Grab and it should find it on your computer.

Once it's open, you can choose to take a picture of a selection, window, or screen by looking in the Capture menu. Good luck

after you do all those fingers and get the screen shot, it automatically goes to your desktop as picture 1, picture 2, picture 3 etc. You can either move that picture to iphoto or double click on it to play with it.
