this is my problem - it keeps getting me cut back on my download speed on my ISP because I'm downloading more than my allowance. I wish I could figure out how to stop it. It's really upsetting and annoying. I am constantly pushing the stop button, but I need to do something better than that. I used to keep several windows open at once on WI, and now I try to limit that to just one or two.

I do add block on firefox, but that still doesn't stop the script from re-loading on me all the time.

Oh gosh, I thought I was the only one getting the refresh on here. I was so stumped. It just shows re loading in my tabs, but sometimes the page reloads as I am typing and I am not losing anything. I didn't even want to bother with asking, because people would just assume I was talking about the WKW refresh glitch.

I spoke with FIA about the refresh problem and unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done about it except to get rid of the ads altogether. But since those ads pay for the server to keep the site going, it really isn't an option. She said that we could try a different browser. She seems to have better luck with firefox than IE. She did apologize for not having a better solution. But this little glitch is nothing compared to what we experience in WW, right? I can live with it...

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Thanks FIA - I realize that some ads we see may not fall under the category that most may be disagreeable to...for us the biggest issue is how much bandwidth it's using. I want to do away with them for that main reason. Just so everyone understands the major reason I'd like to shut them off is because it's draining in my system and I have to pay my internet provider for the extra bandwidth, the content is a factor but not the major reason. And, thanks for the information.

It's not the same at all is it. I'm going to try to get used to it too.

Yes I have experienced the same. I'm paying 30$ more to my internet supplier now for a total of 85$ a month - I'd rather donate directly to the site instead of having the ads.

I was stumped for a while too until I talked to my provider after I got an outstanding bill.

Thanks for taking the time to talk to FIA - It's reasonable to need some source of income to support the servers as well - at this point I would rather donate or pay a membership instead. I use Firefox most of the time because it's my browser of choice, I've used IE and Opera too - it's the same problem in terms of bandwidth usage. The glitches in WW aren't comparible...I don't see this as a glitch as much as an inconvenience..I was hoping that someone could tell me how to turn them off. Now that I know they can't be I'll request that the thread be closed. Thanks everyone for posting - I appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions.

And, Happy Thanks Giving to all my American Friends
