Try things like welcoming new members, contributing to idea threads, offering advice in threads like this. I had the same problem when I first started I was here for a couple of months before I hit 50 posts because I only wanted to make posts that "counted" and did not really know what would be fluff or not.
There are two links in my siggy.... one lets you know what the gift trainee requirements are and the other lets you know about how to make good and helpful posts..... Hope that this helps and good luck!!
I just figured out how to become gifted! Well, you have to have at least 50 "non fluff" posts. That means that you can't just say, " cool" or " I agree" or things like that in posts. They won't count as your 50 non-fluffs.
After you have at least 50 non-fluff posts, go to some moderators post about becoming gifted. You'll have to say that you have made 50 non-fluff posts and you agree to all the rules... but you don't need to know that stuff yet. Well, good luck and I hope I helped you!!!
What I did was go to my user CP and look at all the post I had posted. Then I counted all of the ones that were helpful to others.
Then I went to the Somebody Help forum and just answered questions and helped other WI members as much as I could, keeping track of all the good posts I was doing. At first I noticed that all the threads had already had answers on them, but then I realized it didn't matter! I just posted anyway ~ and I'm glad I did because even with lots of different posts on the same subject or question, people's answers will always differ and you can learn lots from everyone's different answers.
So that's what helped me. It took me a few days to reach my goal, but I did it and I just became Gift Guru last week!!! It's a long, informative road, but a fun one that I really enjoyed
I found some Information in the FAQ for you & I have listed it below!
Gifted A registered user with more than 50 posts, and has agreed to the rules and been approved for the Gift Exchange by the admin staff after successfully completing the Gifted Training program. These users have access to the Gift Exchange and feedback system, but not the Gift Guru discussion section.
I don't really know how,Because I got accepted as a Gift Trainee...
non-fluff posts are posts where they aren't spam or like these:
they tend to be a couple of sentences or more, maybe even paragraphs, posts in the pet names section don't count as good posts to your 50 posts
