A t-shirt is a t-shirt. Do teenagers stop wearing t-shirts? She is probably afraid someone will make fun of it? When it comes to t-shirts that have some type of message or motif to them people will either like them or not. I think when it comes to something like a t-shirt that is a persons own decision. Kinda like hair styles,..I say whatever floats your boat! go for it.
You can get it, why not? I don't know if you want to wear it in public, though. I have one and I wear it to work sometimes, especially when we have an event surrounding Webkinz, but I do get a lot of 'ribbing' from it. My co-workers can't understand my affection for them, but they can sure see the sense in Frontierville or Cafe World...go figure
I can understand your mom's concern. I am a parent also. Kids of all ages can be mean. I tell my daughter not to let any one stop her. If you show you are affected by words, they will keep coming. If you act as if it's no big deal what others say, most likely you'll be left alone. It seems it's no fun to tease someone that isn't bothered by it. Also, when your a teen it becomes cool again to wear "kiddie" shirts, like Hello Kitty, Winnie the Pooh, and such.I have seen teen boys wearing Elmo tees. I don't know your age( not necessary to give out that information), so you'll need to take your mom's advice first. Then do what you're comfortable doing. But talk to your mom, so she knows how you feel about it. Good Luck!
Thanks! Yah i had a winnie the pooh shirt my sister got for me at disney land and i have several kids ask about it. YOU LIKE WINNIE THE POOH!!! i am like yup! Isn't piglet EPIC! and they are like then they are like then they go CL!!! lol true story...
I think you should get it and don't care what others say. There are alot of kids, teens and adults that wear shirts from different shows, cartoons, comics etc... It makes you who you are. I was in love with Mickey, Elmo and Winnie the Pooh when I was in my teens and wore everything that had to do with them. Did I care what the others thought about it not really, they wore their own "different" styles that was weird to me but hey we all have our own style and it may be uncomfortable the first time if they say anything but it won't last.
And I know way too many kids, teens and adults that LOVE Webkinz.....you may find that there are alot more out there that like em just like you that is thinking the same thing as you
I agree with the posts above, I've seen people with Seseame Street tees out there. I say you should get it if you really love it. (and if people tease you, remind them people wear shirts with ELMO on it--yours will be awesome in comparison! ) GO originality!!!
