I am rather confused. I really hope some of you can help me!
In the Siggie, how do you put in a link, but make is so that you can't see the link, all you see it a word like 'click HERE' and where the here is, is the link, so when you click on the word here you get taken to the linked page. PLEASE HELP! I am going to put in a picture so you can see what i mean a bit better.!
The poster above gave you a great link that I always recommend. Here are some basic instructions:
Copy the link to your clipboard (Edit -> Copy or Ctrl-C)
Highlight the words you want to be the link, such as Click Here.
Click on the icon that looks like the earth. When you mouse-over it is says Insert Link.
Paste the link into the box that pops up. (Ctrl-V)
You go to User CP in the top left corner, click the arrow next to it. Click Edit Signature. Then type in "Click HERE". Open up another Web page, and go to where you want it to take them. Copy the web address in the address bar. Then go back to the Edit Signature. Highlight all of Click HERE. Then click the little Earth icon at the top. Backspace the http : //, since it is already in the address you copied from the other page. Then paste in the address, and click OK. Then it should look like this: Click HERE After that, you can highlight it again, to change the color of it. I hope I helped!!
I'd just like to add that you can also highlight a PICTURE, click thesign, and enter the URL. Now, you can click the picture, and it takes you to wherever the link goes to. Just make sure the URL is the correct one. Once I was putting a link to my GE in my signature, but I accidentaly put a link to someone else's thread and finally someone pointed it out- lol.
Well first copy the link you want. Then type the word you want people to click (like HERE) then do you see the Globe next to the font color changer? Well click that and back space the Httl:// (because your link should already have one) Then just high light HERE (or whatever word) click the globe and paste the link. Then you should have a click able link! Also use that guide Lizzy gave you.
