You might spend some time looking at the Webinz Insider tab which lists all the Webkinz and shows what their item and food look like, to think about which ones you really like the most. I love the deer window myself--I traded to get a second one so I could make a room with two of them! And the deer is cute too!
I would try eBay or Amazon. You can find really good deals there. eBay would probably have the deer, too. They have webkinz in my local hospital gift shop, and they aren't that much. They even had a lot of new webkinz and jrs. and signatures. I hope I helped and you get the webbie you are looking for!
Well hello there, xanadu! What would I do if I was you...hmm...okay, first, I would pick your absolute favorite Webkinz off your list of 42 and make sure it's REALLY the one you want. If it's the deer, I would check eBay first, even though sometimes the bidding gets so high it isn't worth it. If deer on eBay aren't so cheap, I would see if the have them on Ameriwade which is the WI sponsor site. They have cheap Webkinz and other Webkinz related items. Have fun choosing.
If you go to a store near you, you may have to pay to get there and back, and you may also have to pay tax. If you buy online, you may not have to pay tax (you also may!) but you will probably have to pay for shipping. So make sure you factor that into your cost.
If you can stand waiting a little bit longer, don't get anything yet and wait until you see a sale somewhere like Justice or Fye's. They may have a 2 for 1 or a half off sale. Then you can get more for your money!
If you really have your heart set on a deer, then wait until you find the right one, or save up more money, or ask for one for your next birthday or holiday.
Hmm...I don't know which one I'd get. Maybe I'd save the money and wait for the walrus to come out. He looks really cute.
One good place to get Webkinz that the others haven't mentioned yet is Costco. The selection may not be the greatest, but if they happen to have the one you want, it's a great deal. Some Costco stores carry them, but if you can't find them there, or you aren't a member, then you can order from Costco.com. They are 17.97 for a TWO pack with 10 sets of trading cards!! If you aren't a member it's just a .90 surcharge. Even after shipping you'd have money left over, plus two webkinz, and 10 trading cards.
As for online versus buying in a store, I think it just depends on the deal you can find. Sometimes online is cheaper, as long as shipping isn't too much. But we've found some great deals in stores, too. Especially with clearance, buy one get one free, or coupons.
Look on lone first and then call some local shops. There are many sites that will offer discounts. Try Costco, eBay, Ameriwade, just to name a few.
*make sure you check about shipping before you jump for joy at a deal!!!
If you have a FYE near you they have a deal- 2 for $25 right now and I hear that Justice stores have a special as well (although I do not have one ANYWHERE near me- not fair! LOL)
If you lived near me there is a chocolates shoppe that has all of the Easter ones for $8 each, but maybe there is a independent shop near you that might be doing something similar- even an antiques shop relatively near me is selling Webkinz, so you never know- doesn't hurt to try!!
