If your Webkinz gets wet and/or dirty is it safe to put them in the washer and/or dryer?

Just wondering....

Please post!!!!

Re: Help! Plushie Question!
no. just wet it and dry by itself, if not work, wipe with clothe and brush a bit.

Re: Help! Plushie Question!
I believe they can. I would be a bit cautious with the extremely furry ones like the collie, persian cat, etc... If you want, you may can put them in a pillowcase first and tie them up in it. I know my black lab can be washed safely because my niece left it outside one day and it got rained on. Hope you get them washed safely.

Re: Help! Plushie Question!
I'm pretty sure it says on the tag of the webkinz if it is washer/drier safe.

Some people say that certain materials don't come out the same. So for better and more accurate advice, which webkinz in particular are you wanting to clean?

I've cleaned a few for my step sisters, but none of the really furry ones yet. (Like the Samoyed. If washing him, I'd put him inside a pillowcase just in case.) Not sure how the velvety ones would come out either.

Re: Help! Plushie Question!
I was just wondering because for my next update on my "Spend A Day With Amber And The Webkinz" I was going to take the Webkinz swimming. And in case they got wet, I wanted to make sure it would be safe before I put them in the dryer. I asked about the washer because they might get a little sandy because we have sand around my pool. I'm going to try to keep them out of the water, like on floats and on the deck, but you can never be too careful.

Re: Help! Plushie Question!
it says on the turtle:
Surface Washable.

so i think its ok.

I washed my mouse before. but that was with a wet paper towel and some soap. and it dried over night.

Re: Help! Plushie Question!
I've washed a few of my daughters Webkinz on gentle handwashing cycle with woolite. but that's because they were really, really dirty. But I would proceed with caution since on the tags it says surface washable which means with a damp cloth.

Re: Help! Plushie Question!
If you are taking them swimming I would be extra careful because if you use chlorine in the pool it could affect the color of your webbies fur. You may just want to set them on the side and let them sunbathe instead.
