It hasn't happened to me for a few days now, but when it does, I'm not able to click on anything but the pop-up. It always says that My computer is at a critical risk for trojan viruses. I am not able to see what ads are on the page. I always just have to click 'control alt delete' and run task manager to end the programs.
Sometimes, I'm just booted offline, and my own computer says that my computer has blocked many trojan viruses. This only happens on this site unfortunately.
Remember: Don't ever click on the pop-up!!
The las time that happened to me was about a year ago... It hasn't happenned to me at all after I switched to the Safari browser. it has a pop up blocker and gives you privacy. Maybe switching to a different browser than you normally use... Safari is just a suggestion
What you are actually seeing is an advertisement. It is trying to trick you into purchasing a virus scanner that you really don't need. You don't need to worry. You don't actually have any viruses on your system, at least, not from this.
Once before we had a problem with this ad showing up on WI and Justin was able to use information from our members to block it. If you see this advertisement on your computer, please make note of what advertisements are running at the moment it pops up. Justin can go into the system and block them from ever appearing again.
He can also use that information to file a complaint with the company that provides us with our advertisements. We are NOT supposed to be getting ads like this.
