Yes, the Lamp Post does light up when you click on it I have once gotten a Porthole when there was a glitch and it came back. Then not long ago I wished for a Time Warp Clock and a Moon Rover. Whatever you choose to pick, I'm sure you'll be happy with it Remember, you can trade items for those items in the trading room, so that way you can get all of it! Have fun!

Also consider that newer items are less likely to be retired first. You never know when one of the older items will go. If you think you'd really like an older item, get that first, and save up for a newer item (like a bumper car) for the next time.

I like the lamppost. It does turn on and off, but only goes outside.

I love the lamp post myself...It happens to fit in most PERFECTLY with the new outdoor theme, so, I've had fun using it lately myself...(AND..I NEVER KNEW that it turned on until NOW either until reading your thread), so, AGAIN "ROCK ON RockerMom"..tee-hee
