Default Answered: Help with formatting posts/threads

I recently switched to google chrome as my browser [was using firefox before but it has beena cting up lately] and now every time i try and make something bold, underlined, italics, or colours, it does this....

[I ][ /I]
[B ][/B ]
[ U][ /U]

And it's WAYY too confusing when i'm editing things! There used to be a button where i could change that, but i don't see it anymore! Is it because i switched browsers?

Please help! Thank you.

Since I haven't found anything to do away with all that coding (as I know EXACTLY what you are talking about), I just use a different browser and don't have to look at all that coding texts.

Is that what it does when you click on bold/italic/underline?? If so then all you need to do is take out the spaces between the [ and the letter.

Yes, that's what happens. I put the spaces there purposely, so that i could show people what it does. Before, it use to just automatically change it instead of putting in the code...

Oh, do you mean it would automatically make your text bold for you, and you didn't have to put a code in?

Lol, that's okay
Hmm, well I've always had to put the code in to make it bold, so I don't really know what to do about it. I'm sorry!
