Well, I think there used to be a problem of scammers asking for people's WW usernames and passwords. Never give anyone your password, or even a hint as to what it might be! And yes, I think there have been scammers who have traded here on WI. There's a stickied thread in just about every forum, I think, listing the WI usernames of scammers. Maybe it even has their WW usernames, I don't know. I think trading here on WI might be safer than the trading room on WW, just because people here on WI help you through the gifted process. I don't trade yet, but someday I might. If you ever feel uncomfortable, or think someone might be trying to scam you, you can always contact a Mod or Admin. You can PM them if you have any questions.
Another suggestion is to make sure your password (any password, really!) is hard to guess. For example, if your WW login is Ilovedogs, then don't make your password dogs - it's human nature to want to use a password that's easy to remember, but then again, those are the kind that are easy to guess.
A mixture of numbers and letters is good and usually hard to guess. (I don't think you need to use characters like $@!, like you do for other systems, like banks and such.) Using your gramma's address, a relative's zip code, your best friend's birthday - those are the things that would be hard for someone online to guess.
