Well you flag a post by clicking the red flag under your avvie...However, don't flag something unless it is something bad for the site or negative. Why don't you PM a mod and let them know what your refering to. I hope this helps ya!
Anything you post here will be read by a moderator eventually, it seems. In this section, see how many posts were more appropriate in other sections and were moved! Different moderators review different sections and I'm sure they let whomever is editing the home page know about important and newsworthy items. I, too, think the flag is only to be used for violations of protocol. PMing a moderator is a great suggestion. Any moderator with whom I've dealt has always been patient and helpful. WI folks are great!

I don't know what the appropriate method about going about signalling moderators of newsworthy threads is. I assume that one will come across your thread pretty quickly and if they think it's newsworthy they will the contact whomever needs contacting.
