Default Answered: GIMP help

So I just downloaded gimp today. I saved a picture and went on gimp to open it up. I saw that the image wasnt in my pictures and I saved it there. Anyone know why?
Thanks!

Sometimes when you save a file it gimp you might be saving it in the wrong folder.
Its always good to double check which folder/location you've saving it in.
Sometimes you unintentionally save it somewhere thinking you were saving it somewhere else.
(It happens to me all the time).
I'd try locating it on your computer and seeing if you can find it.
If you click on your libraries (in windows 7 in other systems you can click computer) you can type in the title of your file and it should give you a list of results.
One of which should be what you're looking for.

If you can't locate it, you might have closed gimp mid-save or might not have saved it correctly.
I hope this helps!
Good luck finding that file!

I think it may be because gimp does not support some file extensions, but other than that I'm not sure. The file is probably corrupt or not a supported format.

maybe try to save another picture on there and save it as 'save as' then a box will come up and under the name of the file you are saving it as there will be a 'save in folder' option and sometimes it automatically selects a folder if you don't choose one yourself. look in this same folder on your computer that it shows on the 'save in folder' and it might be in there. if not you can check your computer for the file name. i hope you find it!
