I have been having trouble with my collie plant. When I rake, the weeds still show. When I harvest, the bones are still on the plant, but one shows in my dock. It seems the action is counted like the weeds are there after raking, but the plant does not "die" and need to be dug up to reset. I am going to pay better attention to the number of harvested items in my dock, and post later.

I have always gotten varying numbers of strawberries from each plant, and they differ from harvest to harvest, although the overall total stays in the plus to minus 10 range. I have recently been gardening carrots and found the same to be true.
I have never had the number that showed as being harvested not match what showed in my dock...always a first time though.
What aggravates me, is that we used to be able to keep the same type plant on the same schedule...strawberries ready to harvest in 10 days. However, Ganz seems determined for my gardens to not grow that way....more realism? If so, I could do without it. I admit that I am a little compulsive about this, but after I rake, I like to see the symmetry of all of the plants at the same growth stage. Recently, I have dug up all the plants to get them all of the same schedule (three times) and it doesn't work. About half will be ready one day, the other half the next, with maybe one or two stragglers.
I guess that I will see how it goes with the carrots. It is true that it is much easier to see which ones need to be raked than with the strawberries. But a whole yard of ready to be picked strawberries is so pretty, LOL.
Good Luck,
Plainlyme
