Just got a retired Grey & White Cat today. I was so happy! Happy at least until this message popped up when I tried to name my cat Geisha (after a grey tabby I used to have that died):
That, yes that, message ruined my day. Yeah, call me emotional, but I am in tears right now. I thought Geisha, up in feline heaven, would be "smiling" when she saw that I was naming something such as a Webkinz after her, but I think that she would actually be frowning if she saw that I had to use an alternative form of Geisha to name my pet. I have tried Geesha, Geiisha, and Geissha and they all work, but they just don't look the same. Using RedBear's instructions on how to figure out what letter in the desired name for your pet is required for the banning, I discovered that the "h" is needed to ban my pet's name. But I can't find any alternatives for "h"... any suggestions? I don't really know if GANZ is thinking of geisha girls when they hear "geisha," but I am certainly steamed and sad right now!

I'm sorry to hear that you are unable to register your pets desired name for adoption! Have you tried Geescha, Geissia, or Geesia ? Or something like that? The ending of "ia" can sound like "sha". Hope you can figure something out!
I hate when Ganz does that!! They've gotten all "innapropriate detection" on us now. It makes me really upset! When I go into KinzChat PLUS I have a very limited selection on what I can say. For example, I know someone that has a guy webkinz, so that makes him my "boy friend." But KinzChat won't let me say it because they think I'm talking about a relationship!
It is because of the definition of a Geisha and the negativity that it carries. One of a class of professional women in Japan trained from girlhood in conversation, dancing, and singing in order to entertain professional or social gatherings of men. That is why the name is disallowed. Yes, I know they have gone all PC (Politically Correct) on us, but someone in Asia may actually take offense to this one.
I'm so sorry! I'm sure your cat is in feline heaven smiling because you care enough about her to name her after a rare Webkinz! monkeecj seems to have a good combination! This happened to me when I wanted to name my Chickadee Dakota. I had to name her Cota! (Did you know this is also a medical group? C.O.T.A) Hayley
