Question Unanswered: ganz stance of pets' gender?

i almost worded messed up that title! sure am glad that i caught that. (update, okay i didnt catch it good enough, i had to edit it.)

=====================================================

so, um, does anybody know how ganz feels about changing a pet's gender? we finally adopted our love monkey -- we waited until there were no more adoption glitches AND i wanted to get it done before tomorrow's nightmare of first of the month. i was distracted. imagine my surprise when i saw the adoption certificate that said our BOY MONKEY, LOVE, is now a girl. He/She is running around in a green army shirt and cuffed jeans. does ganz change pets' gender? does anybody know?

we had a plan...
Boy=Love Monkey=Love.
Girl=Love Dino=Lovely.

i really messed that up!

Hmmm...that is kind of interesting

I guess if they can't change it, which I'm imagining is the case, you can just let the pet "identify" as a girl, even though they were officially "born" a boy.

No where on the site except the adoption certificate does it even mention the gender, so I wouldn't worry about it and just carry on as the gender you intended.

I am sure if you kindly call GANZ they could change your pet's gender. It is a common mistake. If they cannot change it [ Which I am sure they could] you could just ignore the adoption certificate and just say it is a boy. I am absolutely almost positive that one of GANZ's employees could fix this for you! I will be right back with GANZ's phone number...

Here it is:
1-866-WEBKINZ * 1-866-932-5469

Good luck with everything! Hope An Employee can change Love's Gender!

Wow, that's strange! As posted above, you should call GANZ. If they can't fix it, you can say that your Love Monkey is a boy. You don't have to follow the adoption certificate. Good luck!

Call Ganz- If the adoption has been with in the last week (i think) they can unadopt the pet for you and you can re-adopt it. They may tell you no at first but keep asking or talk to a manager. They offered to do this for my dd on one of her accounts for a different reason. It can be done. Good Luck!

It probably is like real life.......can't change your birth certificates gender even if you change your gender at the doctors.

Ignore it.
As long as the name and pet are right you're the only one who knows !!

This is like changing a Webkinz pet's name. I accidently spelled Coca Cola wrong for my polar bear. I was upset, but I learned to ignore it. Don't mind it.

I don't think they can. When I adopted Cheyanne, she was a girl. Even clicked girl, but birth certificate says boy. I have asked about this since she (yes I call her a she cause she is girl no matter what the birth certificate says) she had no bio and still technically doesn't have a birthday or a best friend (though I am her BFF )
