Question Unanswered: Fluff or not?

Hi everyone! So I'm contemplating applying to be a gift trainee in the Gift Exchange. One of the requirements is to have made at least 50 "non-fluff" posts. I was hoping to get some feedback from people as to what would be considered fluff and what would not. Any help would be much appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Fluff posts are posts like: 'LOL, that's funny. Haha!' or 'I'm bored.' or 'Hello [ten letter rule]'. Basically anything that isn't meaningful or helpful .

Here is a thread that is very helpful with this subject: http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...5/index94.html

LOL. Gee that's funny.
I don't know.
I agree.
Lalalalalala.
Hahahaha.
Silly or anything off-topic.

DON'T......Make *Bump* posts.
It's basically a random post that doesn't contribute to the Forum at all. The longer and more meaningful your post is, the better.

Good luck becoming a Gift Trainee!

I was just reading the posts here and saw something that I don't understand.

Why do people put (ten letter rule) after a word and what does it mean?

Thanks for the answer.

This is what I did to get accepted. I went and for a few days I only posted on the help section. That made sure that I had a lot of helpful posts. After doing this I got accepted pretty quickly. Plus you'll get to help a bunch of people.

Many forums set their forum software so that if your post has less than ten letters, it won't get posted. So if you only said "Lol!" -that's less than ten letters and it wouldn't post. So people add the words "ten letter rule" to bring the number of letters in their post up to (or over) ten.

In order to make a post, it must have at least 10 letters. Some people jus put "Hi" and that doesn't quite cut it, so they type "10 letter rule" or "make my post longer". This is considered fluff, too.
