Default Unanswered: flagging a post?

So, I've read that if you solve a recipe or something, you're supposed to "flag the post." How do you do that? Like on the kinzstyle tracking thread, I noticed that one of the post said, "post flagged" at the bottom. How is that done? Only by a site admin., or can you do it yourself?

Default Re: flagging a post?

Any user can flag a post. Below the user's avvie, there are a few icons - one, the girl with braids (which is grey if the user is off, colored if they are on), the "thumbs up" to give reputation, and the big red flag (and, I suppose, the gender indicator)
The flag, if you put your mouse over it, says "Report Post." When clicked, it will send a report to the moderators and admins of WI. You use this for two things mainly - 1) if you find a post which is breaking the rules like giving away personal information (and needs to be edited soon, so it's not openly available) 2) to notify them of a front page story. Solving recipes is news, so if you flag it an online admin finds the news faster and can update it faster. For example, if you create a thread about your new adopted pet that you're the first one on WI to get, rather than copy and pasting that info into a PM to an admin, you can just flag the post. Same goes for solving recipes. If a recipe is solved, it's news

It's the red flag below an avatar. Do you know how to give rep? It's right next to that button. It's a little red flag next to your pink gender (yours is girl) sign. If someone is being rude, breaking the rules, spamming, ect. then you can flag them and it takes you to a page where you write down why you think the post should be flagged. WI Moderators will then see what you wrote and the post and decide further steps that should be taken.
