Default Unanswered: eStore Problems

Has anyone had problems with their eStore purchase? I bought a VISA gift card for my son's birthday so he could buy some eStore items. We picked out all of the stuff from Surprise Saturday and some other stuff, then I entered the payment info, clicked BUY NOW, and an error message said there was a problem with the payment info. I checked the info, then clicked BUY NOW, same error. So I gave up and went out.

I checked the transactions on the gift card website and there were two eStore charges listed, so I went back into the eStore and it said I had no ordering history! How do I have two charges if the order didn't go through? I emailed eStore customer service & am waiting to hear. Has anyone else had these issues before? What did you do????

Michls629, I have not had the same issues that you've been experiencing. Unfortunately youmay have to wait for EStore customer service to contact you back regarding the two charges that showed up. I say that because I found the following information in the FAQ's for the Estore:
Can credit card gift cards be used to purchase virtual items at the Webkinz eStore?
Currently, the Webkinz eStore does not support purchases made with gift cards of any kind, including those issued by credit card companies.

This leads me to believe that the Visa gift card that was used is not supported and that is why you received the error message you did. It would also explain why you have no order history, however, it doesn't cover why charges would have shown up on the gift card. I would keep checking that to see if they get backed out.

I realize it is very frustrating especially as it was for your son's birthday. Especially since it means you would have to use a regular credit card to make any purchases on the site. I have read several people's posts that indicated it took a few days to hear back from EStore Customer Service but they were able to get their problems resolved so please be patient and good luck.

you can't buy eStore items with credit cards gift cards. it doesn't make sense why it charges it though.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I don't know why they wouldn't support gift cards issued by a credit card company. I hope the charges disappear on my gift card since the order never went through. It really stinks though because now I have to wait until next Saturday to buy his charms.
