Default Unanswered: Doug - horrible error message!

HI

I want to warn others about what happen to me today on trading with doug! When my magical retriever initially walked up to him - nothing happened! (i'm used to this by now) so I just leave and go to code shop knowing doug will appear which he did - but when he did appear here is the error message i got!!

you've completed all gift items with doug now you will start from scratch and begin again!

***? If it was the way it supposed to be I was suppose to get Doug Gem Signed Picture! I will call ganz customer support to have them fix this it's not fair!!!

Just wanted to warn others!

I'm very sorry this happened to you. I would definitely call Ganz. Thanks for the warning, I just wish the warning hadn't costed you the trouble! Hopefully they can fix this.

Thankyou so much@ Luckily I have 5 webkinz accounts so I can still trade but still I did just want to warn others so if they get same error it's not just me LOL!!!

I will phone tomorow - time change t's too late to phone now!

Try logging in and out and go to trade with him again before doing anything. It might have been a one time thing. Also post that on the Doug Tracking thread.

Aw man! Sorry that happened to you I didn't have the gem he was looking for today, so I got nothing from him today also.
I have a question for you though-I don't know what you meant how, when you said that when you walked up to him nothing happened, so you leave, & come back??
I just walk up to him & click on him-even if he is surrounded by other pets-then his dialogue box opens right up. I have never had to leave & come back.

I've had a delay when clicking on Doug with his dialogue box. Now I know to just wait and it will pop up eventually. Some accounts are quicker than others and I also think it depends on the amount of people trying to trade with him. Make sure you only click on him once because one time, I clicked again thinking it didn't register. The first dialogue came up with the trade I should have been on and then was quickly removed and replaced with a dialogue of being new so I only received the ice cream. That is how I learned to be patient when asking Doug to trade and so far (knocking on wood), I've had good luck. I hope you will too!

oh thankyou everyone for your input!I will try again to trade with him! See what happens!

Sometimes i walk up to him and yeah nothing happens so I click to go to code shop knowing his caption will appear there which it always does! And sometimes what happens is that the amount of gems keeps changing and so try to click it fast to where he is only asking for least amount of gems for a good or great prize!

This error really bummed me out! cry! luckily like i said i have 5 webkinz accounts so on one account i have most of everything i'm working on getting the flooring!

Does anyone know where i can post that i do have extra doug item for gifts to give or for trade? I dont want to get in trouble for saying it here! Thanks

Aww I'm so sorry this happened to you. I would call Ganz ASAP! Thank you for warning us. I'm not doing Doug until all the glitches are solved. It's just not wroth it
