One trick I learned to try and get rid of glitches with the donut seeds is to kinzpost them to another account (hopefully you have another or a friend can help you out). I had problems with the blue box too but this was solved for me when I kinzposted it and then sent it back. I still have to leave the room and come back to see any changes to the picture though.
The same thing happens to my donut plant. I removed it and walked into another room; then came back and replanted it. It worked for a day then started doing the same thing.
Now I do the gardening as usual. Even tho it doesn't show a change that day, it will be changed the next day. Nightly Maintenance fixes it.
I haven't had a problem with my jellybeans.
If you want to call Ganz the number is 1-866-932-5469. Good Luck.
This always happens with my donut and collie plant. It seems like nothing is happening and the plant doesn't change its look but it really is working, and it will grow. You just need to remember what you have done to the plant already.
As Tromboneaphone says, the problem with the blue box that appears in place of the donut seeds when you try to plant them can be fixed by kinzposting the seeds to another account. I traded for a donut plant, and attempted to plant it, but got the blue box. I contacted Ganz, got the donut plant unstuck and returned to my dock. After reading some very helpful advice on this forum, I kinzposted the donut plant to another family member's account, and they kinzposted it back to me. I was then able to plant my donut seeds, and have had no more problems.
If you receive your donut seeds in a trade, I would advise kinzposting them to a trusted family member and having them send the seeds back to you, before you attempt to plant them.
