Does anyone mind getting the background of this picture transparent?

Hi guys As some of you might know, I'm constantly posting threads on this part of the forum for graphic help. I know I should try to find a shop, but I like making a thread so that lots of our members can try their hand at it.
Today, my picture is of the well-known, loved, Hatsune Miku! I've tried to get the white background transparent, but the quality decreased and all the parts of her that was the same shade of wite were turned transparent as well. Could someone please transparent this picture, without decreasing the quality, and only transparenting the background? Thanks a lot! Picture:

I use lunapic for most of my graphics, and their transparency effect did not work well on picture. That's why I said:
"I've tried to get the white background transparent, but the quality decreased and all the parts of her that was the same shade of wite were turned transparent as well."

I reccomend gimp, it's a free download. you can select the layer and change the transparency of the image

she has a lot of hair
the edges are rough but it shouldn't be noticeable on wi since the background is light
