Default Re: Dock won't load... too many items?

We have the same problem with our accounts here. Two of us can get our accounts to work on both computers, but my mom's and sister's accounts don't work on either computer. This is an odd incident and just can't be our computers or how much is in our dock. I hope Ganz figures this out soon. It is getting very frustrating.

I guess I just have to wait until Ganz gets back to me... wonder how long that'll take.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

(there's one more thing I guess I could do... try it on our desktop computer instead of my laptop)

My daughter's account has the same problem. We contated Ganz and they told us that if you have over 100 items, the dock won't load, but my account has over 200 and I don't have any problem. The only solution they gave was for them to remove some of the items. We didn't want to do that. Do I, like you just kept logging in and out, but this is what I found...

On some days it would load and some days it wouldn't. It seems that if we don't log in for several days it starts to have problems again, more so on the weekend. What I am doing now, and it seems to be working, is to log in to her account everyday and make sure to get the items out of storage and move some around. I think it's because she had some really old things in her dock, that it gets stuck. I never have a problem, but I move stuff in and out all the time.

I hope this helps, and I hope your son's account get fixed soon!!

It doesn't have anything to do with how much you have in your dock or what computer you are on. I can access my two daughter's accounts and another friend's with no problem on my computer. My one daughter has a lot more pets than I do and three times as many rooms. It is so frustrating to be able to access their accounts and not mine.

It all has to do with the servers that Ganz has assigned your account to and how busy they are. I talked to a rep and she said there are four servers that are giving people problems.

The best solution that I have found to unload my dock is when I first get logged on, while I am still on the front page where they have the news, then I will click on the W-Shop button. It will automatically unload your dock for you. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't but it works better than just straight trying to unload my dock.

I have such bad problems with my account. I only have 24 pets and keep items in my dock under 20 but if the servers are very busy, I can not access my account. It is worse in the afternoon when children are getting home from school and weekends or holidays. I can finally access my account around 8 or 9 at night.

It is not right but there is nothing we can do except keep complaining to Ganz until they fix it. Hopefully it will be soon.

I don't know why that is happening , for i have 188 and it loads in 2 seconds ....... but that my be because i clear my cache once a week ... but it dind't work for you . try to take all the items you do see when you log in and feed it to pets and put it in storage. then try reopning your dock . Sorry that happened to you !

I've been having the same problems with my dock lately because I'm probably on one of the messed-up servers. The other day, I had over 250 items in my dock. I created a new, empty, large room in my house and placed any furniture items that were already in my dock (without loading the full dock) into it. That cleared two spaces in the dock

I tried loading the dock either by pressing the button, going to kinzpost where you can send a package (sometimes that works better than the W-Shop), or by opening the W-Shop. When it didn't work, I logged out and back in again. I placed the next couple items in the storage room and tried again to open the dock. When I managed to get a piece of storage furniture (a dresser), I placed clothing inside it, etc. Eventually, the dock became empty enough to load, but it was a painstaking process.

I just got off the phone with a Ganz rep and she said that it was something that they are having trouble with that it is not my account. She said that they are having trouble with some of their servers and they are working to fix it. She said that she did not know how long it would take but that they are working to correct the problem.

I am annoyed. They should stop focusing on creating all these new features and new items and correct their server problems first! Hopefully if we keep calling and complaining they will have it corrected soon.

A few things that a worth trying are: clearing your cache, maybe contacting Ganz (1-800-WEB-KINZ), I would limit your dock to 100 items or less, as Ganz suggests, I would also try to open it through the W-Shop instead of clicking "Get items from storage", and lastly, I would refresh my page by logging in and out a few times.

In addition to clearing the cache, try clearing your cookies. That might help, too. I have heard of others with the "please wait" sign - perhaps there is a problem with their server? Try with a different web browser, and if that doesn't work, you should try to contact Ganz and see if they can resolve the dock problem. Good luck!
