Aside from posting in this forum and helping people, it's always a good idea to go to the "Hi, I'm Joe!" forum and welcome new WI members. Always be sure to post there where the rules and FAQs are located for new members to read. A post welcoming a new WI member is never considered fluff!
I personally waited until I had 100 posts before applying, and I was accepted very quickly. I did everything I wrote about above, plus I also posted photos and gave very detailed answers to questions all over the place, and I'm sure that helped me get accepted. Good luck when you apply, and if you have any questions, feel free to PM me anytime...I basically live on WI!
