Default Unanswered: Different text appearance when modifying a post?

I have two different computers at my house, and I use them both to go on WI. When I modify a post using my PC, the text appears without the bunch of codes that are added when you bold a word or italicize it. When I use my MacBook, the opposite thing happens; the codes don't appear. Is there any way to make it so that the codes don't come up? Sorry if this was a little confusing!

I find the same thing happens on Firefox. When I edit a post it no longer shows the coding.
Maybe try Firefox, and see if it works for you.
Good luck!

If I understand correctly what you're saying, maybe this will help.
Do the codes also appear in the preview version of the post? On my PC laptop on Firefox, the codes appear when I type a message in 'advanced', but they don't show up in the actual message once it is sent.
Am I on the right track?

when you use google chrome, everything shows up in code.
when you use firefox it doesn't. not sure about ie or safari or anything.

this button in ff switches between code and no code

For me using google chrome shows codes.
Firefox and IE don't show any codes.
The way things display usually depends on the internet browser not the computer itself.
Check which browser you're using, and if you're confused you can always use a different browser.
(Or learn code x3).
I hope this helps!
Good luck!
