Delete a post/thread?

I feel like I must be missing something! Is there not a way to delete a post or, if you're the originating poster, to delete a thread with no replies?

I've wanted to delete posts twice but I can't seem to figure out how!

You cannot delete a post or a thread. You can always flag them and explain why you want them deleted. :) the staff will do it for you.

You can not delete your thread or a post. you can always modify it though. If you need it closed, you can always flag the post or thread and tell why you want the thread/post deleted. Or you can Make the title please close, or you can PM a staff member. Hope i helped :)

You can't delete a post, but a staff member can. Just click the red flag button and type "please delete" or something like that. You can edit a post by clicking "Modify" in the right-hand corner of your post. :)

Re: Delete a post/thread?

You can't delete Posts only a Moderator or an Administrator can.

you can find a list of Moderators and Administrators by clicking on 'Forum' on the top bar and scrolling down once you see 'Templates' just past there is a 'View Mods & Admins' its in bright blue, you can't miss it!

You could always PM A Moderator or Administrator and ask them Nicely to delete one of your posts.

Hi there,
You can't delete a post or thread- Only the staff can. If you want it deleted just flag the post, explain why, then a mod or admin will take care of it for you. ;)

Re: Delete a post/thread?

Sorry, but it's impossible for just a regular WI member to delete a post or thread. There are some reasons behind this, so we respect that.

But, if you would really like a topic or post of your own to be deleted, flag it. You should see a red flag in the bottom left-hand corner of the post. It automatically sends attention to that post to the WI staff. For the reason, say that you want it to be deleted or something like that. That's what mods are for, on here! :)

Also, if you're not in a hurry to delete the post or topic, in the bottom right-hand corner of your post, there should be a modify button next to the quote button. Click on that and delete your whole post and replacing the words, type in "Mods, please delete" or something like that. Also, you should probably change the thread title to "Mods, please delete", too.

If you need help or have a question with anything I said above, I'd be happy to help you out!

You can't- Only a MOD/ADMIN can. But you can edit them with the modify button in the bottom right-hand corner of your post.

DotDotDuck had an awesome pic. The thing is you can not delete them. Only mods and admins can. Flag it for a mod to delete and modify it to change it.

You cannot delete a post or a thread. However, you CAN modify it, by clicking the 'Modify' button
beneath one of your posts. And you can also flag it and a moderator or administrator can delete it.
